If there was ever a Psalm written to illustrate the gullibility of man, it is this Psalm. The first sentence is so important that it is necessary to dwell on it. It reads: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God . . . ” (Ps. 14:1). What is there about human nature that makes men reject the reality of God? This proclivity was seen shortly after Creation.
The Apostle Paul describes it:
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who [suppress] the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. ( Rom. 1:18-23)
They are fools. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” Their creed is evolution in which they have a boundless trust. Ann Coulter does not mince words describing this in her book entitled: Godless: The Church of Liberalism . She points out that evolutionists (which she calls Darwiniacs) do not have a single observable example of one species evolving into another by Darwin ‘s mechanism of variation and selection.Yet it is an account that inspires fanatical devotion because it excludes a Creator. It is not scientific to create a diagram of how things evolved and then come up with a story about what might have happened.Coulter says that such a “scientific theory” makes psychic readings look like hard science.
She says the so-called pillars of evolution have one by one been so exposed as frauds, that it is difficult to imagine any other “scientific” theory so plagued with as many hoaxes as the theory of evolution. The information below gives a summary of what Ann Coulter wrote.
Consider the Piltdown man. The fossil, discovered in 1912, which supposedly proved the missing link between man and ape, was exposed as a fraud in 1953 after radiocarbon dating established its true age. To make matters worse, the skull of this thousand-year-old human fossil had been fitted with the jaw from a modern orangutan and stained with potassium bichromate to make it look older. Also, the teeth had been filed down to more resemble a human.
Then there is the peppered-moth “proof.” When pollution began to blacken the tree trunks in industrial , the once pale moths turned black. It was reasoned that they turned black while resting on the trunks of trees in order to camouflage themselves against predatory birds. Supposedly, this new black-colored moth had evolved just as Darwin had said. But there was a problem. Ted Sargent, a scientist who specialized in the study of butterflies, moths, and similar insects, pointed out that peppered-moths do not rest on tree trunks but on the underside of high branches. In addition, it was found that the moths in the famous photos showing them resting on tree trunks was a complete hoax. They had been glued to the trees.Evolutionists completely ignored this hoax and went on the attack to marginalize Sargent’s work and ruin his career. We may be familiar with the embryonic drawings of the German biologist Ernst Haeckel, drawings which were intended to confirm the amazing similarity of fish, chickens, and humans, in the womb. It appears that Haeckel believed the development of the embryo imitated an organisms entire evolution as a species. As it turned out Haeckel had used the same woodcuts for some of the embryos, and doctored others to make sure the embryos looked alike. It was one of the most famous fakes in biology. As usual, the scientific community ignored the expose’ even though it had been known for a century that Haeckel’s drawings were fakes. Evolutionists were not about to give up just because these drawings were bogus.
We have all been told that life originated from some kind of primordial soup, and that the atmosphere at that time was responsible for the evolution of species that took place. The famous Miller-Urey experiment of 1953 seemed to have created the beginnings of life in a test tube. These scientists had purportedly duplicated what was thought to be the Earth’s early atmosphere. But a dilemma quickly became apparent.Geochemists realized that the Earth’s early atmosphere was nothing like the gases used in the Miller-Urey experiment. These geochemists concluded that it probably contained more carbon dioxide, almost no hydrogen, and possibly some oxygen. Creation of life from amino acids would have been impossible in such an atmosphere. Yet today biology textbooks still tout the Miller-Urey experiment as proof of evolution.
The fact is: The only proof of Darwin ‘s theory of evolution is fake evidence. When it is all said and done, the only argument evolutionists have is contempt against those who disagree with them. They do not want people to hear arguments against evolution, so they demonize those who make these arguments. In reality, evolutionists are religious fanatics for whom evolution must be true regardless of the facts. The greatest accomplishment of the evolutionists is in the realm of rhetoric. They have persuaded the masses that anyone who questions evolution does so out of religious fervor. The main belief of evolutionists is that God does not exist and since they are not a practicing religion, the advancement of their beliefs is not prohibited by the Constitution. They cling to evolution because it allows them to ignore God and lets them think they are off the hook morally.
The above summarizes Ann Coulter’s excellent observations and takes us back to Psalm 14.Remember, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” Darwin was warned by Adam Sedgwick, his mentor at Cambridge , that he was “deep in the mire of folly” if he was trying to remove the idea of morals from nature. Such a separation, Sedgwick said, would sink humanity into a lower grade of degradation than any to which it had fallen in history. One only need to read the rest of Psalm 14:1 to see what Sedgwick meant. It reads: ” . . . They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”Human nature is bad enough in its own right, but add to it the philosophical excuse to reject moral authority, and the results will be, and have been, catastrophic. The first three verses of Psalm 14 are quoted by the Apostle Paul in Romans 3:10-12. Paul wrote: “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” What will unrepentant evolutionists face in the judgment? Read this sobering statement: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Rev. 21:8). Paul said the truth about God had been suppressed. What does the Bible state about those who suppress the truth today and keep the masses in ignorance about the fallacy of evolution? The answer: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who [suppress] the truth in unrighteousness” (Rom.1:18). And why do they suppress the truth? Jesus explained: “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19 ).
In the Bible unbelievers are called “workers of iniquity” in whom there is no knowledge. “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? . . .” (Ps. 14:4). Why have they no knowledge? Here is the reason: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Prov. 1:7). Fools do not believe in God. It is, therefore, impossible for them to gain true knowledge. True knowledge requires belief in the reality of God’s existence. What does the Bible say to fools? “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” (Prov. 9:10 ). Evolutionists are completely blind to their ignorance as they willingly and criminally reject the knowledge of God.
A look at the world today, with its accompanying human behavior, quickly reveals the effects on those who do not regard God. Evolutionary thought is so pervasive throughout society that even Hindu philosophy is saturated with it.

In Hindu philosophy an avatar refers to the incarnation of the Supreme Being. Ten avatars that have supposedly “appeared” represent the evolution of life and of mankind. Matsya, the fish, represents life in water; Kuma, the tortoise represents the next stage-amphibians; the boar Varaha symbolizes life on land; Narasimha, the man-lion symbolizes the commencement development of mammals; Vamana, the dwarf, symbolizes the incomplete development of man; Parashurama, the forest-dwelling hermit, represents the completion of the basic development of mankind. Other avatars represent aspects of human rule, advancement in culture and science, agriculture, and enlightenment. Clearly, in Hindu philosophy these avatars portray the evolution of life and society.
Evolutionary thought contributes to the reckless disregard for both God and man and is apparent in every quest to fulfill human desires no matter what harm is done to others. The psalmist wrote: “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD” (Ps. 14:4). However, the next verse tells us they are not relaxed in their belief that there is no God. “There they are in great fear, For God is with the generation of the righteous” (Ps. 14:5 NKJV). In spite of their efforts to deny God’s existence, (there is such proof for it, as well as His friendship of the righteous and as an enemy of the wicked) that dread often pervades the minds of unbelievers. “You shame the counsel of the poor, But the LORD is his refuge” (Ps 14:6 NKJV). Evolutionists despise or treat with derision the idea of those in need trusting in God. One evolutionist wrote: “Certainly the idea of God that can answer prayers and whom you can talk to, and who intervenes in the world-that’s a hopeless idea. There is no such thing” (quoted by Coulter, p. 267). The fact is: Atheism rejects every hope of man and leaves the wretched in despair.
The Psalm ends with verse seven which states: “Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion !When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!” (Ps 14:7 NIV). Can we expect the fortunes and blessings that the Bible relates as long as Darwinism prevails in society? Hardly!The literal Hebrew reads: “Who will give out of Zion salvation to Israel ?” The wish expressed here considers the general practice of wickedness and the prevailing atheism that presently contributes to so much human suffering. The earnest desire is that the people of God may be delivered from such evils.
What is impossible for evolutionists and atheists to realize is that God considers them to be wicked.They are so arrogant in the vanity of their minds they believe they are beyond censure. The truth however is:”The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble” (Prov. 4:19 ). “The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish” (Prov. 10:28 ). What is the modus operandi of evolutionists? Fraud and outright lies!

“The wicked worketh a deceitful work . . .” (Prov. 11:18 ). “He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD” (Prov. 17:15 ). “The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts” (Ps. 10:4).
We can rightly conclude that the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. From Psalm 14 we see that the Bible has much to say about those who deny the reality of God. The Bible warns of a cut off date from whence there will be no further forgiveness for sin. Evolutionists and atheists would do well to heed that warning. “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still” (Rev. 22:11).
