The Concluding Chapter of the Human Experience – A Promise God Will Fulfill
“God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes” (Rev. 21:4).
Considering all of the heartbreak and sorrow that this world has seen, this would seem impossible—were it not for the incomprehensible greatness of God—and the compassion, mercy (grace) and purpose that He holds for all humankind.
The Feast of Tabernacles takes place ”at the year’s end” (Ex. 34:22). This main fall feast is also called the ”feast of ingathering.” The complete harvest year ends at the beginning of autumn. Just as Firstfruits pictures the early harvest—this church age; The Feast of Ingathering, Tabernacles, pictures the much larger fall harvest—the great harvest of souls during the millennium!
The Day of Atonement pictures a profound and necessary event, to take place after the second coming of Christ. Most of Christianity has not understood this, because of unawareness of the significance of God’s Holydays and what they portray.
This time and event will completely change the world. This will bring about a completely new beginning for all of humankind.
Christ will Rule as King of kings and Lord of lords (Isa. 2:2-4, Mic. 4:1-4, Rev. 17:14). The kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ (Rev. 11:15; 1:6; 5:10). He will reign, ultimately – in peace, for ever and ever (Isa. 9:7).
Do “three days and three nights” occur between sunset ‘Good Friday’ and sunrise Easter Sunday?
Did Christ mean what He said, and say what He meant, when he said “three days” and “three nights”? Even as with Jonah and the great fish—so will the Son of Man be “three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” (Jon. 1:17, Mat. 12:40).
God has had a Plan in place from the very beginning—and not only was the Sacrifice of His Son the vital initial component of the Plan from the beginning, but God has had a Plan in place for those who would be called to accept the Sacrifice of His Son and to conform, transform, their lives in preparation for God’s holy world-ruling Kingdom—initiated at Christ’s return.
It is faithfully recorded, in the New Testament, that the Church, long after the crucifixion, was keeping these Holydays.
“We sailed away from Philippi after the Days of Unleavened Bread” (Acts 20:6). Paul and companions plainly observed the Days of Unleavened Bread at Philippi.
The Holy Spirit would not have inspired such words—unless confirming that the Days of Unleavened Bread still existed!
To observe Passover alone, and then fail to observe the seven days of unleavened bread, means, in the symbolism, to accept Christ’s blood, and then to continue in sin. To wrongly say we are under grace (meaning license) to continue in sin.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread depicts completely putting away sin—meaning fully keeping the Commandments of God!
Judaism considers Passover a most vital holy occasion in their repertoire of observances, while they wait for their Messiah. Christianity recognizes Christ’s Sacrifice as the central reality in their worldview and belief—yet they do not memorialize it. Seldom does either religion do genuine justice to the Truth as signified, and fulfilled, by Jesus Christ our Passover (1 Cor. 5:7). He was Immanuel—God with us—the Messiah.
